This paper presents the design of the air conditioning system for a research and production project in Wuhan. The comfort air conditioning adopts ice storage technology, with the chiller located upstream of the ice storage device. The water distribution system is a variable flow secondary pump system, and the secondary pumps are set in separate loops. The data center uses water-side natural cooling technology, and is equipped with a closed cold storage tank as an emergency cold source. The water distribution system is a variable flow primary pump system. The air conditioning terminals are divided into inner and outer zones, and a variable air volume air conditioning system is adopted. The inner and outer zones share a set of heat recovery outdoor air units. When the outdoor air wet bulb temperature is lower than 5 ℃, the cooling tower and plate heat exchanger is turned on for free cooling to reduce the operation cost of the system.
